Paragon Physiotherapy and Wellness is a 5-provider clinic in the Chicago suburbs with one location, and goals to expand to a second. As a startup, they’ve been with Prompt from the beginning. And now, as business owners seeing the other side of the platform, “the business side of it is even better than the clinician side,” co-owner Michael Gentile said.
Hitting the ground running with Prompt
As Paragon was starting up, they wanted a platform that could allow them to hit the ground running and grow with them long term–which is why they went with Prompt.
“When we were starting to look around, as a startup, we were like, ‘Okay, where can we cut some corners?’ But we decided not to cut corners with Prompt on the EMR side, and no regrets. It’s worth every penny,” Michael said.

Streamlining the business side of things
Building a solid foundation for their business has Michael and Paragon spending a lot of time in their Prompt reports.
One of Micheal’s favorite features as an owner is having all the operations reports in one place. “It’s all in one place, and we can use that to track individual clinicians and the business as a whole,” he said. Being able to break down reports by revenue and other metrics allows him to make informed decisions for his business, enabling him to grow the practice.
Bringing billing in house
While they didn’t cut corners with their EMR, that doesn’t mean Paragon hasn’t been able to find cost-savings in other places.
“We do all our billing in house, with the help of the Prompt team,” Michael said. “They’re really easy to reach, and it’s allowed us to not have to pay a biller, which has been helpful for our margins.”
With Prompt, Michael, his co-owner, and their front office manager have been able to handle all their billing needs without additional software or personnel costs.
Building a brand from the ground up
As a startup, Paragon has a large focus on building their brand and getting the word out about their practice.
To do that, they’re relying a lot on Google reviews and word of mouth. Being able to send patients a direct link to leave a Google review has been extremely helpful for them to do that. At the time of this writing, they had collected 116 Google reviews in the two years they’ve been open.
Continuing their momentum with efficient onboarding
Paragon has plans to expand, which will mean hiring more clinicians as they continue to grow. According to Micheal, having the Prompt University training videos saves them time during onboarding, and sets their clinicians up for success.
“Prompt University is extremely intuitive,” he said. “Any clinician that comes on board can get through it pretty quick and then they’re ready to go, and there’s very little necessity for us to jump in and teach them anything.”
