Our story

Founders

Mike had been in treatment for months with limited visibility into his success. Through conversations with his best friend, Adam, they identified an opportunity. Prompt’s primary goal was to provide patients with outcome visibility. In the process, a larger problem became clear. Every clinic needed 6+ pieces of software just to run.

Mike and Adam tabled their primary goal of outcome visibility to solve the larger issue, “empowering clinics with one unified solution to practice management”. Once that existed, providing patients with what they desired would be achievable. In 2017 they started building a team that would take on this ambitious goal. Through the right combination of opportunity, determination, expertise, and a little bit of luck, Prompt has become a game-changing solution for the outpatient rehab space.

A brief history

Identify
Discovery was a huge part of Prompt’s early years. Immediately jumping into a solution would be premature before we really understood all of the problems plaguing the Physical Therapy industry. Mike and Adam set out on a mission, spending thousands of hours meeting with clinic owners, providers, billing staff, and front office administrators to identify their pain points throughout the patient’s journey in a clinic. Armed with data and a depth of knowledge surrounding specific user workflows, they set out to build a team that could create a “life-changing” solution for outpatient rehab.
2019
Go To Market
The initial team of engineering, product, finance, and user experience experts spent two years building version 1.0 of Prompt. By the second quarter of 2019, the product was ready to go to market. Armed with a list of phone numbers and clinic addresses, we began our efforts to bring Prompt to the masses. Slowly but surely practices began to adopt Prompt and their feedback and support became our jet fuel.

Automate
At Prompt, we consider all companies using our system to be a partner. Customer feedback drives the product development roadmap and throughout 2019 our users were pivotal in helping us rapidly iterate and develop the best possible solution for everyone in a practice. By 2020, practices ranging from startups to national enterprises were experiencing the benefits of the first modern and truly all-in-one solution to hit the outpatient rehab industry. With the core platform firing on all cylinders, it was time to go a step further and begin building tools that would help practices generate additional revenue, and become even more efficient.

2021
Scale
To support Prompt’s rapid growth, we began automating onboarding processes, scaling our teams, and scaling our software infrastructure to ensure Prompt continued to maintain a near-perfect uptime rate and lightning-fast load times.  We didn’t slow down on product development and released over 24 updates – still driven by customer feedback.
2022
To The Moon!
It has been years since Prompt was just a “startup”. We have established ourselves as the new industry standard for both small independent clinics as well as enterprise rehab facilities with hundreds of locations. However, our culture still closely resembles that of a young startup. We remain customer-obsessed, move quickly, and have a lot of fun along the way.

We believe in challenging the problems that clinic owners and providers have come to accept as normal. We pride ourselves on enabling each and every user to spend the least possible amount of time on our system. That means more time caring for patients, being with family, and focusing on work that drives business growth. In doing so, and most importantly of all, we have been able to accomplish our original goal of helping to create a far better experience for patients.
